The Chinese Performing Arts Society of Canada (CPASOC)’s fundamental purpose are:
- To preserve Chinese dance by sponsoring Chinese dancers and performing groups in Canada and North America
- To promote Chinese dance by:
- sponsoring Chinese dancers to come to Canada to teach and adjudicate;
- encourage cultural exchange between Canada and China;
- staging performances or competitions of various forms of Chinese dance;
- To enhance Chinese dance by seeking specialized talents in Canada or China to choreograph high quality dances for dancers in Canada.
